About Mike

A career shaped by industry and leadership

Mike Holtkamp is a seasoned sales and marketing executive with more than forty years of experience working for two of the most respected names in global industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University and an MBA from PennWest University. Mike also completed postgraduate studies in Digital Transformation and Smart Manufacturing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and International Business Policy at SUNY.

A founding board member of the Digital Foundry near Pittsburgh, Mike has spent his career at the intersection of technology, leadership, and industrial innovation. His passion for the industrial history of the United States—especially the stories of Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia during the Industrial Revolution—has deeply influenced his perspective on modern corporate culture. Throughout his career, Mike has held a range of sales and marketing leadership positions, spearheading numerous product launches and marketing initiatives. He has long believed that those “in the middle” of organizations—the people who keep the engines running—deserve a stronger voice. With this book, he hopes to give them one.
